Our Joint Relief Ointment is designed to relieve the discomfort of stiff, injured, calcified, and arthritic joints. We blend a base of beeswax and coconut oil with natural menthol crystals. Derived from the Mentha arvensis (mint family) plant, these provide a cooling sensation as they act upon the body's cold receptors, stimulating circulation to the affected area whilst simultaneously offering mild analgesic and anaesthetic effects. The action of the menthol crystals is then augmented by the addition of peppermint essential oil which, through a similar mechanism, soothes inflamed and painful joints or muscles. We then include a second key essential oil, rosemary, the anti-inflammatory properties of which work in synergistic combination with the peppermint. Indeed, a 2021 animal study, reported in BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies, concluded that "a nanoemulsion containing essential oils of peppermint and rosemary reduces osteoarthritis pain via increasing antioxidant capacity and improving the histopathological features of the rats' knee joint."
From a more esoteric or vibrational perspective, the musculoskeletal system and its joints have a subtle wave characteristic which resonates with the planet Saturn. Thus, we include traditional herbs of Saturn which, for thousands of years, have been noted by herbalists for their ability to heal bones and joints. Specifically, we use comfrey root, solomon seal and horsetail for this purpose. Where joints are afflicted by calcification, we recommend combining the topical use of our Joint Relief Ointment with internal use of our Stone Breaker Tonic. A further useful supplement in this respect would be our Amazon Rainforest Formula or capsules of Chanca Piedra.
Instructions
Rub a small amount of the ointment into the affected joints or muscles 3 times per day, or more frequently if needed.
